To set up the meter from the app, download the CONTOUR®DIABETES app, open the app, tap ‘Get started’ and follow the instructions. This will set up the meter and app at the same time.How to turn on the device?The device can be turned on in the following ways:Pressing and holding down the large, round button on the right-hand end of the meterorInserting a CONTOUR®PLUS test strip into the meter (this will automatically turn the meter on)How to know if more blood is to be applied to a test strip?The Second-Chance® sampling feature will cause the meter to beep twice and display a flashing test strip icon. Within 60 seconds, apply some more blood to the test strip, so there is enough for the meter to measure the blood glucose. Once enough blood is added, the meter will automatically take a reading as usual.What do the apple symbols on the meter mean?The apple symbols are meal markers.
