Check the opened date and printed date next to on test strip vial label. Do not use it after either date printed next to on the test strip vial label or 6 months after the date opened, whichever comes first. Discard the vial and test with the new vial

Allow the meter and test strips to sit at room temperature for 30 minutes If opening the vial for the first time, write the date opened on the vial label

Wash the area to be lanced and dry it

Remove one test strip from the vial. Recap the vial right away

Insert the test strip into the test strip port of the meter. The meter turns on. Do not remove the test strip from the meter until testing is finished. Obtain blood drop

With the test strip still in the meter, touch the sample tip to the top of the blood drop and allow blood to be drawn into the test strip. Remove the test strip from the drop immediately after the meter beeps

Result is displayed

Hold the meter with the test strip pointing down. Press the strip eject button to discard the test strip into the appropriate container

Store the test strips at temperatures between 1?-30?. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not store it in your car. Do not freeze
