The strips have minimum exposure to humidity, reducing the chances of contamination. Each strip is individually packed to ensure accurate results and minimise inaccuracy caused due to exposure to the air. Wash the hands with soap and water and pat them dry

Use an alcohol swab to clean the finger to ensure it is completely dry

Take a test strip and insert it into the slot on the glucometer before pricking the finger

Use a new and clean lancet and prick the side of the fingertip

Wait till the blood oozes out and wipe off the first drop

Then put a drop or two onto the designated place on the test strip

Hold a clean cotton pad or gauze on the area of the prick to stop the blood flow

The blood glucose level should appear on the glucometer’s display
